Tagging online using dartfish.tv
Although Dartfish's tagging tools are the most efficient way of tagging and describing video events. This can also be done online - using dartfish.tv. For simple tagging, for when the subject matter expert is not a Dartfish user, or for when tagging is to be contributed to by a number of people then this can be a good solution.

Your channel admin must subscribe you a contributor to the collection to which contains the video. You'll know if you are a contributor or not because you will be able to see the edit button.

Start by adding a marker, then you can define a segment of video and describe it. Note that the keywords list used to do this is one of event keywords - this is a separate list from the video keywords used to describe video clips.

When setting the in point and outpoint you can see the duration of the segment and you can also adjust the amount that the zoomed section of timeline displays - as shown here.
