00:31 Exporting csv data from EasyTag

Tagged data is exported as a CSV file. This type of file is a text file which can be read by many types of software including spreadsheets like Excel and, of course, Dartfish. The export methods depend on the device: all devices can send email but only Android allows you to copy and paste files from the device to a folder on yuor computer. iOS does this by synching the files with iTunes. Look in the Apps page of iTunes to access files.

02:00 Import into Dartfish

Import of EasyTag data is straight forward - especially if care has been taken to start the EasyTag timer at an obvious moment which appears on the video. Don't forget to find that moment on the video first... before clicking the Events list's Import/Export button

02:42 Synchronisation based on a tagged event

Using the Start button to mark a synchronisation is the easiest way of importing EasyTag data, but its also possible to use the position of a tagged event.
Again, you should start by finding the event in the video BUT REMEMBER, pre-roll is now irrelevant so you need to identify the position in the video which is the start of the event NOT when the button may have been clicked.

03:40 Adjusting event position after import

Didn't quite get the synchronisation right? It's easy to adjust by adding or removing a number of seconds to the video position of the event(s). Usefull to know the ctrl+A keyboard shortcut to select all events then edit any event to adjust the position of all of them.
