00:32 Event buttons create events

Event buttons are used to add events to the events list. They create a timestamp position, define a duration of the 'segment' of video and add a keyword to describe what it represents.
Keyword buttons are then used to add further keywords to more fully describe the event if required.
There are 2 types of event button - the difference between them being in how the duration of the event is defined.

03:06 Preroll and offset start

Event buttons can have a preroll assigned to them. This means that when they are clicked, the timestamp will actually be earlier in the video. Pre-roll is used when the start of an event cannot be predicted until after it has started... or even after it has ended.
The amount of preroll assigned by the tagging panel creator defines when he/she inteded the button to be clicked.

04:30 Persistent keywords

Persistent keywords tools are swiched on or off (or assigned a value). All events subsequently created are assigned the keyword. This is useful when:
- Consequetive events are to be given a keyword
- All events in a video file are to be given a keyword to enable multiple video files to be loaded and the evenst from each distinguished.

05:48 Triggering

One tool can trigger another. This is useful for automating some actions and also to make the tagging panel more ergonomic e.g. by displaying pages of the panel only as they are required.

06:23 Keyboard shortcuts

For complex tagging, assigning and using keyboard shortcuts is a much more efficient method than using the mouse.

07:00 Team manager tool

The Team manager is a tool for creating a simple database of players. Selected players then have a button displayed for their name in a Team Group Box. Although intended for displaying relevant buttons when you have a large squad of players to choose from, the Team manager can be used to display a variable set of buttons for any purpose.

07:50 Editing and customising your tagging panel

The tagging panel that you have been given may not be entirely fit for your purpose. This video shows you how to make basic modifications. Other videos cover the detailsed process of creating and editing a tagging panel.
